How WE Dubai came to be - a personal journey that led to helping hundreds of people successfully relocate to Dubai
My name is Aviv, and I'm one of the two partners who conceived, initiated, and founded WEDUBAI. Like many others, I wanted to move my business to the Emirates, and I relocated to Dubai. The first task was opening a bank account. Without that, you can't set up a business.
Despite the friendliness, politeness, and warmth of the clerks and service providers, I was rejected again and again. I didn't realize how thoroughly the Dubai banks scrutinize every applicant. A single typo, a missing detail, or a document scan that isn't sharp enough is enough to get your application rejected and send you back to do more homework. In short, I ran around, sweated, and didn't succeed. I turned to people who said this was their specialty—or so they presented themselves—but they also got tangled up and couldn't deliver.
Then I met Yehonatan: a lawyer and CPA, a top expert in opening bank accounts abroad—in general and in Dubai in particular—and, above all, a person who genuinely cares about others. Truly exceptional (in a good way) in the business landscape. It took Yehonatan just three weeks to arrange the opening of the Dubai bank account I had been hoping for. He knew how to screen and choose the bank that would suit my business needs from all those operating in Dubai. He turned every stone to prepare the application exactly the way the bank wants and likes to receive it. He accompanied me hand-in-hand everywhere. And when the moment came to sign the account-opening documents, even then Yehonatan came with me to the bank to make sure everything was in order and that I walked out with approval to open the account. From there, launching WEDUBAI was a short step.
